Tränenpalast

When Germany was divided, the railway station “Friedrichstraße“ was the place of tears: that‘s where family members said farewell before their return to West Berlin. Today, the history of German division is narrated in Tränenpalast by a series of private stories. The themes of escape, smuggling and families also form a part of the exhibition. Come along!
