Reading with Esmahan Aykol at Sprachenatelier Berlin

The author Esmahan Aykol was born in 1970, in Edirne, der Türkei. She has lived in both Berlin and Istanbul. After her many years of experience as a journalist for various Turkish newspapers and radio stations, where she worked during her law degree, her focus is now on writing novels. Her new book „Goodbye Istanbul“ appeared in the newsletter "Diogenes Verlag". The author left Istanbul, her home city, because she was unfortunate in love. She decided to leave her old life in favour of a new life in London.

While working as a dishwasher in a grill restaurant she was overwhelmed with painful, yet fond, memories. He decides that to begin her life again she must learn to forget.
