German Exam for Nurses Dates
telc German B1-B2 Pflege is a technical language test for nurses caring for the elderly and the sick. It covers the upper range of B1 and B2, in terms of lexical and grammatical structures. The exam is aimed at people who have a recognized qualification in a nursing profession and who have to prove B1 or B2 knowledge of the German language to practice this profession. The exam is open to everyone.
At level B1, you will understand factual information on everyday or job-related topics in the field of care for the elderly and the sick and recognize the main statements and individual information. You can communicate with some certainty about familiar routine matters, but also about other matters relating to the care of the elderly and the sick. At level B2 you learn to understand technical discussions and the main idea of complex technical texts in the field of care for the elderly and the sick. You can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without any great effort on both sides.

What can you do in work-related situations at level B1 or B2?
At level B2, you can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in the field of nursing and geriatric care. You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
At level B1 you can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work and everyday situations. You can communicate reasonably fluently in everyday situations and on topics related to the field of nursing and geriatric care.
How is the telc Deutsch B1-B2 Nursing Exam structured?
The examination consists of a written and an oral part. The written examination lasts 1 hour and 55 minutes. Before the oral examination you have 20 minutes preparation time. The oral examination can take place on the day of the written examination or on another day.
