With focused preparation, the exam is very manageable if your German language skills correspond to CEFR Level B1. The examination assesses the four core language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
The complete examination lasts approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. The written section (reading, listening, and writing) takes 150 minutes (2.5 hours). The oral examination, conducted in pairs or small groups, lasts approximately 15 minutes, plus an individual preparation time of around 20 minutes.
