GDR Museum in Kulturbrauerei and walk to the Mauerpark
Combination excursion
Are you interested in the history of the former GDR? Have you always wanted to learn about their ideology and reality? This week we are going to visit the permanent exhibition "Everyday Life in the GDR" in the beautiful Kulturbrauerei. This former brewery has been converted into a cultural meeting place and is classified as a historical monument. It reflects the rapid industrial developments in Berlin at the end of the 19th century. Afterwards, we'll take a stroll along Eberswalder Straße and slowly reach Mauerpark. You can still find traces of the everyday life in the GDR on the road and feel the tension between the Western and Eastern blocs at that time. We are looking forward to many of you coming along.
