Chaos and Renewal - Berlin 1920/2020

On 1 October 1920, the "Greater Berlin Act" incorporated many surrounding areas into the city of Berlin. As a result, the population of Berlin doubled overnight. This made Berlin one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world, alongside New York and London. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, a retrospect looks at the past and enables us to better understand how this metropolitan city able to succeed, survive the turbulent times, and flourish again.
