"Lista de Espera" ("the waiting list“) shows a group of people waiting at a dirty bus stop in a small Cuban city. All the buses, a lot of which don't stop at the station, are hopelessly overcrowded. Emilio, one of the people waiting, is using the time to try and win over one of the girls at the bus stop – Jacqueline. Others think that there are better ways to spend their time. While the old bus is being fixed, a kind of small community forms at the bus stop, in which every individual plays a role. Some critics think the film is trying to present a picture of the ideal Cuban government, others view it as a critical presentation of the fall of the Cuban system. 2000 Malaga film festival: Best Actress (Thaima Alvario) and Nomination for the Best Film of 2000, the Havana film festival: Best Script 2001, Cartagena Film festival: Best Supporting Actor (Jorge Perugorría), 2001 Goya Awards: Best Foreign Spanish Language Film.
