Turkey after the local elections –- still on its way to Europe?

The Sprachenatelier Berlin invites the corporations of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung to hold a lecture and following discussion. This will take place at the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus.
We will be discussing the results of the local election, which conclusions can we draw from them?
What does they mean for the political situation in Turkey?
Is there any possibility of Turkey getting through the process necessary to join the EU, including its reforms? Will Turkey remain politically influenced by Islam, or is it on its way to join the European Union? What will Erdogan's Kurd politics look like after the election? And what are the results of the vote on the politics of the DTP?
We will also be discussing the radical political and social changes in Turkey and the conflicts between EU supporters, military and Islamites. We will also be trying to answer the questions about how the we can help Turkey join the EU.
