Culture Wednesday - Exhibition 'In the Silence of Raging Winds'

The exhibition with the title „In der Stille rasender Winde“ („In the Silence of the Raging Winds“) diplays paintings, drawings, sculptures and collages by the Berlin-based artist Detel Aurand. The works were created over the past few years and the artist has also written a book, where she combines depictions of her dreams with her croncrete work. The artist´s dreams are interwoven with her pictorial work in such a self-evident manner that the boundary between real and imagined space seems to be dissolved completely.

Detel Aurand was born in Frankfurt in 1958. Her work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including Tel Aviv (Israel), Reykjavìk (Iceland).
