Afternoon and evening courses: specialised courses
In addition to general language courses, Sprachenatelier Berlin offers a popular array of courses for specific purposes. These classes are available for learners of German and other foreign language learners who are looking to improve specific language skills as well as study specific fields or areas of interest.
These courses are held once or twice per week in the afternoon. This allows students studying German in the morning sessions to take specific courses in the afternoon at minimal additional cost.
German Modal Particles: Eben, denn, doch and other modal particles are used frequently in everyday German. But what do they mean and how should you use them?
20th Century German History: The course covers the German Empire, World War I, the Weimar Republic, National Socialism and World War II, as well as the post-war division of Germany and Unification.
Conversation: Aimed specifically at practising and developing conversation skills. Oral reports and presentations in German are also covered.
Theatre: Students explore and learn the language by writing and acting out theatre scenes.
Film and literature courses, media courses and courses for intercultural training, creative writing, intensive grammar as well as courses for professional and academic purposes are also offered on a regular basis. These courses are open to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
In promoting the institute's emphasis on culture and creativity, Sprachenatelier Berlin also regularly offers art courses in illustration, painting, photography and collage.
