For the new year we finally have an English edition of our newsletter. We are not sure how often we can bring out a newsletter in English, but we wanted to try it out and see what you think...
***First of all we would like to let you all know that we have arranged an
English Evening for tomorrow (31st of January). If you are interested in practising your English then please come along! We shall be meeting at 20:30 outside the Sprachenatelier and then going to Palm Beach (64 Grünbergerstraße) for drinks. Or you can come directly to the bar and meet us there.
Native English speakers are also encouraged to come! It may be a welcome break from speaking German all the time...

We would also like to let you know that we are now offering
gift vouchers for our language courses – perfect for those of you who are on the look out for an unusual present to give to someone special. The gift vouchers can be used for any of our language courses (depending on course availability).
Since last year the Sprachenatelier has already been offering
a wider range of language courses, including courses in Chinese, Finnish, Greek, Hindi, Dutch and Slovenian, amongst others. And for two years now we have been offering courses in Romanian and Bulgarian, the languages of the new EU Member States. In addition, we shouldn't forget to mention our very successful Turkish courses which have been taking place for some years now...
In February we have many
new German courses beginning. Courses will be offered at various levels of proficiency, in the afternoons as well as in the mornings. And those interested in taking part in one of our German summer courses can already sign up (summer courses begin in July). For more information please see our website:

Chinese Cultural Evening, in the spring there will be a series of
Kurdish Short Films and tying in with the Russian Film Festival we will be presenting
Russian Short Films/Student Films in co-operation with the Moscow Film School (VGIK) in July this year.
And in April kulturprozess will finally be going online - a printed edition of the magazine is also planned. Various reports, reviews and interviews, as well as short stories and poetry will all be published in
kulturprozess, in which not only established, well-known persons from the cultural scene will have their say. In particular, young people with little experience will be given the opportunity to present their work, build new contacts and learn from others.
